Midnight Porch Song

"The Night Trip"

Vine swims the porch
Steady as the tap
Of a broken window pane.
This humid place,
Second-story perch
Where mosquitos
Live their last days,
Old cats climbing the gutters,
Sweet relief of wet roof-tile,
As night falls and
The spiders spin their webs,
Invisible graveyards
For the weary moths.

  4. Really amazing imagery and use of the "observation" of the Dinggedicht - I like the flow of this piece - dark and moody, mysterious, very much :)
