Consorting With Stars

Original Digital Art

The moon hung
by hinges, it's beams
swung the sky.
The wind sang a song,
a winter-bird cry.
Dead trees waved thin
fingers, a dead-root dance.
Time walked my heart
across a silver-spun wire,
stuffed my cheeks
full of clouds
and I swallowed stars.

  2. What a lyrical quadrille, Stacy! The words dance down the page. I like the idea of the moon hanging by hinges, the 'winter-bird cry' and 'dead-root dance'but that ending is wonderful:
    'stuffed my cheeks
    full of clouds
    and I swallowed stars.'

Given time one has to face up to a lot of depressing situations. Tolerating others Stacy, can be developed as an art perhaps!

loved this image, it reminded me of a squirrel gathering food for the days ahead. I would def want to swallow a few stars.
